“prizes to those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind”

-Alfred nobel-

Initiating from the observation of turbidity in curing juice during the fermentation process of Baltic herring recipe, the idea has been transformed to the architectural layering. Through the intervention of existing historical structure, space will be combined to the observatory tower. The air observatory will reroute particulate matter from the underground metro to the top, which makes artificial moment surrounded by the turbid air. Along the journey of the tower, the experience of turbidity will change depending on external climate, time and light.

The existence of architecture will be a statement in itself to the world over time, considering the ecological issue that we are facing globally. Rooted by Scandinavian culture and history, the observatory will reinforce the transforming identity of 110 years of Nobel prize history. This new monumental structure will forge the connection of city of Nobel prize, and connect the city to the world, bringing back the experience of watching the sky with naked eye.
